Objective:

  • To reduce the pressure of population on the city of Kolkata by making Integrated Development of Small and Medium Towns outside the Kolkata Municipal Area
  • To transform those towns as centre of development for providing additional scopes for employment
Covered Municipality: 4 municipalities out of the 85 municipalities outside the KMA areas (So far)

Covered ULBs: 2 ULBs of KMA (64 Urban Local Bodies have already been completed.)

Financial Assistance: Central Government (Rs.42.18) and State Government (Rs.31.72 crore) Amount of Rs.72.87 crore have been allotted to the above-mentioned no. of municipalities
