As per recommendation of the Second State Finance Commission Rs. 71.60 crore has been provided in the state budget during 2005-06 as well as in 2006-07. The municipal bodies to utilise the grant for creation of physical infrastructure for civic services like water supply, street light, sewerage-drainage, construction of road, slum development & development of health infrastructure. Schemes are to be prioritised by the ULB in consultation with Ward Committees. ULB-wise allocation of fund has already been communicated to ULBs.
