DFID assisted Honorary Health Workers' Scheme
 
 
DFID funded Honorary Health Workers' Scheme has been launched in 11 Non-KMA municipalities from 1.2.2004 .Primary Health Care Services for 2.58 lakhs BPL population are taken care of by the grass-root level health functionaries i.e. 260 community based Honorary Health Workers (55), First Tier Supervisor and Part Time Medical Officers through 260 Blocks, 55 Sub-Health Posts and 11 Health Posts. There will be no further creation of infrastructure under the project. Immunisation clinics, Antenatal / Postnatal care clinics and health check up by Medical Officers have already been started.
