Bakreswar Development Authority was constituted in the year 2016 with 42 mouzas, vide Notification No. 938/T&CP/C-2/1P-05/2016 dated 01/06/2016.
The proposal for constitution of Bakreswar Development Authority has received from the D.M. Birbhum vide Memo No. 3251/Dev. dated 24.02.2016. The proposal contains total 42 nos. of Mouzas having an area of 57.94 Sq.km in Dubrajpur Block of Birbhum District.
It is found that 37 nos. of Mouzas having an area of 52.89 Sq.km. of this proposal are already falls under the Planning area of Bakreswar Planning Authority created vide Memo No. 3372-T&CP/1S-4/93, 3371-T&CP/1S-4/93 BOTH DATED 05/11/1993.
