socially & economically weaker sections and of the women in planning
and implementation process.
Democratic decentralization, responsiveness, transparency and to
involve citizens in decision making process.
To lay special emphasis on development of Small and Medium towns not
only to facilitate economic growth in the state but also restraining
migration of people from rural to urban areas.
To improve the basic standard of living of the urban poor, to reduce
the child death rate and population control by way of implementation
of various slum improvement, health oriented and environmental
programmes.
To take various administrative measures for the capacity building of
the urban local bodies with a goal to set up a good urban governance
in the state.
